The basis of a awesome AV system is a Home Theatre.
Imagine a games room like this?
HOW TO CONTROL IT?
It's no use spending mega bucks on a nice AV system without being able to control it. The most common method of control is Via;
2. Wireless remotes
3. Wireless touch-panels
4. In-wall touch-panels
As usual, the more you spend the better the range. If you base your system on AMX or Crestron you will never have a problem with support or range. Other products such as RTI and Pronto can be added to an AMX or Crestron system, but the reverse is not possible. Cheaper brands only have a limited range of options.
Generally our systems have one larger wall mounted touch-panel (6"-15") to control the whole system, Smaller touch-panels in TV rooms, Small wall mounted touch-panels (4") or keypads in audio only rooms.
A Games rooms like the one above would need at least a 6" Touch panel.
